It was our first onsen experience and it was superb! You have a very great view of the lake. Room is very spacious. It's our first time as well to stay at a traditional Japanese room, wear yukata and it was a great experience. Excellent dinner and breakfast. They can pick you up at the train station which is very convenient.

Set 46 km from Sanzen-in Temple, Marumo Ryokan offers 1-star accommodation in Takashima and features a garden. A public bath is available for guests. Breakfast was great, it had a Japanese style public bath, location is close enough to a JR station.

Located in Hikone, within less than 1 km of Hikone Castle and 7.2 km of Maibara Station, Honmachi Juku provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who... The host Natsuhara-san really went above and beyond for me, he is very kind. The cleaning ladies who come in the morning are also very kind and we did our best to communicate through the language barrier. Overall I had a great time! It's very close to Hikone Castle and in the historical town area so it's easy to see the attractions.

Nag-aalok ang Biwako Ryokusuitei ng mga istilong Japanese/Western na kuwartong may mga tanawin ng Lake Biwako, flat-screen TV, at libreng WiFi. We loved the bath on our balcony and the traditional Japanese style room. There was a lovely garden and terrace and the staff were very welcoming. The buffet breakfast was a wonderful way to finish our stay.

Yumotokan Hotel offers comfortable Japanese-style rooms with views of Lake Biwa. It features indoor and open-air hot-spring baths and free shuttle service from JR Ogoto Onsen Station. Like other onsen ryokan, they offer pick up service from the station, in addition, they are so thoughtful, when we leave, they offer several drop off spot in case some of us want to take the cable car, ropeway back to Rurikoin temple area in Kyoto. Very thoughtful. We booked the spa service ahead of time and it's very enjoyable. We upgrade our room with a private onsen, they fill up the water and keep it warm just so we won't have to wait, very thoughtful. The food is super good quality, enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at this place. Really 10/10!!

Situated in Takashima, 32 km from Sanzen-in Temple and 39 km from Ruriko-in Temple, Ebisusou offers air conditioning. Traditional Japanese onsen and tatami. Hard to find elsewhere, very good experience for me.

Located in Hikone, Kiyotaki Ryokan offers Japanese-style accommodations, Japanese home-style cooking and free Wi-Fi, a 20-minute walk from national treasure Hikone Castle. The Ryokan is located pretty close to everything, Hikone Castle and Hikone station can be reached by foot in about 10-20 minutes, restaurant, convenience stores, etc. are also pretty close. The family running the Ryokan was very very friendly and accommodating to me. Everything has been explained to me, but I also speak Japanese so mileage may vary. The bath was very nice and Japanese style. Everything I needed like Toothbrushes, shampoo was available. I liked the room, it was a Japanese style tatami room with a comfortable Futon bed.

Only a 5-minute drive from JR Ogoto Onsen Station with the complimentary shuttle, hotel Yuzanso features Japanese-style rooms with a private open-air hot spring bath and spectacular views of Biwako... The private onsen, the view, the room, the food Everything was perfect.
