Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

PortugalIn spite of the size and rooms cleanned, the room had the door brooken had was with a bad reparation. The pillows were bad and old and the air condition made a terríble sound so if we put it on, we didn't sleep wth the noise and it was very hot. The pool is not like the picture. It is small and it was dirty with plenty of hairs in the Walter and the surounding area. The breakfast was normal with a few itens and it was limited. The room area was with tablets of 4 people. We were 5 (2 adults with 3 Kids) plus a friend and they didn't let us join the tables for have the breakfast togheter. We are on holidays togheter because all year we have diferent timetables and we want to have and speed meals togheter. They are many homeless people on the streets nearby but we didn't had any problems.
The rooms had a good size and they were clean. . The location was good, 5min walking to Copacabana beach and had restaurantes and shops nearby. We could walk at night to go dinner without stayed nervous althoug don't forget that you're in Rio and you have to be caution. Same of the staff were nice and usefull when you need help or you're just passing by, others note, like you were invisible and either told you hello.

United KingdomRemote controls for the bedroom (A/C and TV) didn't work. The pool looks larger in the pictures on websites than it actually is.
Breakfast options had a wide variety, large portions, so latecomers don't miss out, and all tasted great! The bed was comfortable and the room was clean on arrival. All staff were super friendly, and easy to talk to, e.g. with them helping arranging the tour for us with ease, allowing us to drop off luggage earlier before check-in, and just ensuring all needs were met, including sorting taxis and towels for the room, and listening to all questions asked.

United KingdomThe breakfast service is poor, a real let down. Every day there were lots of dirty tables sat empty and uncleared and on two days there were half the tables covered in dirty dishes with no clean tables anywhere to sit. We had to lay our own table and get our own cutlery on more than one occasion to eat our breakfast. One member of staff in the red waistcoat worked very hard, but one with glasses seemed very uninterested and lazy, watching us collect and lay clean cutlery whilst he played on his phone. The breakfast service does not represent the other staff we met who were great. Rating lowered due to this. Air conditioning unit very old and due to being placed at low level doesn't cool the whole room. Needs upgrading.
The location is great. The front desk and door staff are very helpful and friendly. The shower is great and very powerful. The pool area is nice.

SpainThe swimming pool is quite tiny. They didn't come to clean the room in the 3 days we stayed there. The first day, they only did the beds. On the second day, they didn't do the beds and just left some shampoo. I would expect more from a 4-star hotel. The room was a bit dirty.

United StatesI could have used some hangers, like at least 10 of them. I wish you could have a microwave, but for the price I'm okay with not having one. There wasn't that many Power outlets, good thing I carry a power converter that allow me to plug in 8 devices at once. THe internet was okay, but when I tried to use netflix on my laptop it dogged out, I also had to pay bills while there and the internet kept dropping off. However, it is as good as any other internet in this part of the world. I did watch Netflix on my phone and that seemed to work for the most part. The TV did have channels in english, but depends if that's what you like to watch.
This place was great! For the value it was incredible. The bathroom had a vanity for ALL my stuff, not just some tiny sink with nowhere to put anything. The TV worked, the fridge worked, the A/C worked. The bed was good enough, everything was clean. The gym had handweights. I looked at photos of many hotels with gyms, most didn't show handweights, which is a must form me. The others probably had handweights, but did not show them in the photos. The breakfast was really nice, it was the same every day for the most part, but good enough for me. It had eggs, some type of sausages (not american sausage, but different every day) There were many kinds of breads (always in South America) but there was wheat bread for wheat toast, there were pancakes, lunchmeats, cheese, fruit, coffee with leche....It was a good thing. There was unsalted butter. The location was really nice, however upon my return I would like the hotel to move itself to a location near lagoa. It is 4-5 blocks from Copacabana/Leme beach. There was several grocery stores, ATM's and a coffee shop within blocks. THere ia a bike station across the street.
