We booked a twin room but were given a double; the gap between the beds pictured on the website was small, but it might have made all the difference to my best mate's husband when reviewing his photos!

I recently stayed at Hotel Duo in Prague for four nights, the hotel's location is fantastic, offering easy access to public transport and making it convenient to explore all the major attractions in Prague. The staff were excellent. We came for a concert in the area and the hotel was fully booked up and super busy. However, the staff went above and beyond for us. First, when we checked in, we realized that breakfast would only start at 6:30 AM, and my mom had to leave at that time. Since we pre-purchased breakfast, the staff offered to try to get us a breakfast box prepared, and to ask for it that night. At 10:30 PM we asked about the box, and the gentleman at the reception went around trying to find us an answer because there wasn't anything clear in the system. He found that it was not prepared for us but went to talk to the kitchen (who were already closed), who then offered to make us a box at that late hour. The box included two sandwiches, a big fresh fruit bowl, fresh veggies, an apple, water bottle, wafer bar, and even fresh yogurt with granola. We were amazing at the experience.

A bit crowded elevators, at peak period (morning, evening), we had to use stairs instead.

Rooms were well equipped and clean with comfortable bed, it has offered all we needed for our stay. Location was good, it was close to Metro C station so we could reach city center quickly (13 minutes). It was great that there was a possibility to do an online pre-checkin, it saved time when we entered in the hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful.

I was charged twice for the city tax repeatedly. Spent almost an hour dealing and explaining to the receptionist that they charged me twice as my city tax was paid online. Was told that I have to ask the refund from the Booking.com. The parking at the property is very expensive and comes to half of the price per room per night. I would expect to get some discounted price at least. Spent almost a week at the hotel with group of people and had to find parking elsewhere as the car park was small and full all the time. Finding parking was not easy as there are parking restrictions around the whole area. Big minus.

The pool was not open the time of our visit.

The location of the hotel was close to the metro station. I was able to book two rooms for my family and they were next to each other. The second night we hung out at the lobby and had a good time listening to live music together.

The parking is a bit overpriced, I understand that it is an additional revenue stream - but 21 euros is an inflated price. The breakfast is rather modest and you may be in trouble finding the available table. We were four and it took a while to find our place for breakfast.

Given the price/quality ratio, this is one of the best options in Prague, I can say. We booked it shortly before the trip and the price by a great margin the most affordable among similar venues. The family suite has two rooms and two bathrooms and is in general very spacious and comfortable. The proximity of metro stations, highways, Lidl, etc. Essentially, it was a very good experience.

Perfectly positioned for our kind of trip (spending the night in order to break up a long drive into a two days trip), right next to the highway. Economic in terms of pricing while still providing best value for it. Well-equipped, reasonably-sized rooms with very comfy beds. Delicious food and drinks, whether breakfast or supper. Friendly and helpful staff. All in all, good value for a good price, can only recommend.
