Arbakki is a family home that has been turned into guest accommodation. This led to a very welcoming feel. We had free use of the kitchen and dining areas and a hot tub. Despite us being the only guests the breakfast was still extensive and delicious. Our Ukrainian host, on behalf of the home owner, was excellent company and a pleasure to meet.

We had an incredible stay here. The hospitality was perfect, the breakfast was really varied and delicious. The beds and everything was very comfortable. They have a hot tube which we could enjoy at night.

I would have liked to see more options for breakfast to accommodate allergies and lifestyles: gluten-free, refined sugar free, foods made solely from whole ingredients (without additives, preservatives, etc.).

Quiet and homey feel. Lots of cozy spaces throughout the property to rest in and take in the sun and beautiful nature surroundings.

The owner has really organized and maintained the place very well. The place is very clean and the owner does make it a point to emphasize this using notices on walls, which we liked. The breakfast was okay. The surrounding of the property is very green and scenic, with quite a number of trees around that we were missing elsewhere...

There are two towns with the same address. Make sure you put the entire address and your GPS.

Somewhat remote, though we loved it. We liked the restaurant across the road from B&B where you could see the cows. The Trout was wonderful. Homemade ice cream was good, too. One hour, 15 min from Reykjavik. Two hours from Vik. You can see two great waterfalls on your way to Vik, black sand beach, and great restaurants in Vik with little effort. We also drove back towards Vik to see Caves of Hella, 50 minutes towards Selfoss/Reykjavik off Route 1. Excellent location for us to explore. We drove to see a recent volcano eruption on our way back to Reykjavik. While a little out of way due to road closure on the coast, we would do again. We saw the mountains and a creek outside our bedroom window. Owner and son were great people! You can see the Northern Lights if they're out that night. Would go back. Was recommended by a cousin of mine from usa.

Beautiful location, great views from the bedroom, warm, cosy and Magnus makes sure everyone is well fed and watered at breakfast time. He's also a really nice chap and was great to have a chat with. And the hot tub is a bonus.

The hot tub was too hot to use. We later saw other guests add snow to it, so it was easily solved. Wish we'd thought of that lol!

Hosts Magnus and Taur were great and a pleasure to talk to. They have a beautiful home with the most amazing view of mountains and the river. The cleanliness was exceptional! Breakfast was delicious.

The host was very friendly and the house was furnished and decorated very warmly and cozy. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a nice meal. The area was also very peaceful for a nice walk. There were enough parking spots.
