The hotel is situated in the middle of an unbelievably beautiful part of the country, between Vatnajokull national park and east fjords. The room was sparkling clean and really comfy, and the view from our room window was just breathtaking. The check-in was contactless, we were arriving quite late and the property management sent us detailed instructions about check-in process. The breakfast next morning was fantastic!

Everything was amazing! We loved the hotel, the atmosphere, the staff! The hotel is located very close to Höfn. But since it is outside of the town, there are no lights around at night which means higher chances to see the northern lights! We stayed there early April and we weren't very hopeful to see the northern lights but thanks to the owner of the hotel who went to every door at the hotel and let everybody know when the northern lights were visible, we saw it! She is just an amazing person and we are thankful for her. She also gave us great advice for our roadtrip and she sure was right, you have to listen to the locals' advice when it comes to which road to take in Iceland. Anyways, the breakfast was very nice, our room was very cosy and spacious. You can park right outside of the door of your room. We couldn't ask for a better place for the price.

Matresses were a bit too soft but ok that's a Personal opinion thing. The blinds at the entrance door didn't lock in Position just after many tries. Wifi was weak in our house. Some blind for the small(but higher situated) bathroom window would have been nice. But wouldn't stop me to sleep here again for a night.

The cabin was a cosy comfortable place to lay our weary heads. They do not serve evening meals there so had to travel into the town for food. Breakfast was varied and plenty. The young Greek lady at reception was very helpful and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely stay.

They generously shared insights into fascinating, off-the-beaten-path destinations that I would have never discovered otherwise. These unique recommendations added so much depth to my exploration of the surrounding area. The relaxed vibe extended to the morning routine as well. I appreciated the flexibility around breakfast times—there was no rush, and I could enjoy my morning meal even if arriving at the end of the schedule, savoring it without feeling hurried. This laid-back approach contributed significantly to the overall feeling of comfort and ease during my stay. My accommodation was a charming little house entirely constructed from wood, with thoughtful and attractive decorations that created a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The eating area followed suit, adorned with vintage decorations and decorative natural flowers, making every meal feel special. Having a parking spot right next to my house added an extra layer of convenience, simplifying my daily excursions.
