How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room is quite small but fair enough for the price we paid and the proximity to a metro station

The room is quite small, but it is common in Tokyo.
The location is a few steps to subway station and with direct train access to Narita Airport, cleanliness of the room and facilities, and plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around.

The hotel was quite okay for being in Tokyo even though the room had no exterior views nor a big size. In general was clean and really near of the metro and train.

Room was really small and even though we did not care much since everything we needed was provided to us anyway, one might find it bit cramped especially the bathroom.
The location was great. It was only few meters from closest metro station and even the neighbourhood has a lot to offer. And in my view you could not possibly except better location for the price.

Great hotel for a few days. Centrally located to explore Tokyo. Nice and helpful staff, tasty breakfast. Although our room was not too large, but clean and welll equipped for budget travelers.

Breakfast at the restaurant inside the hotel is among the best I had in Japan. Make sure to get there early because it gets crowded quickly.

You can´t sleep with opened window because there was noise on the street, but mostly from the people passing by, not traffic jam.
The employees of this hotel were very friendly and everything went smoothly. The room was perfect and with AC and big bed it made the expereince even better. The location of this hotel is great if you are coming from the Haneda Airport, all you need is to take just one train.

Very convenient location (one JR train station, 2 metro lines just a few minutes away). Clean rooms, friendly staff. Can store your luggage if you arrive before check-in time.

The room was small, check in time was 3 pm and check out time is 10 am. If you can't check out within 10 am then you've to pay 1000 yen per hour basis. Though if you come before check in time, you can keep the luggages in the lobby free of cost.
It was close to the metro station. Lot of small restaurants and convenience store around to choose. The room was cosy with all the modern amenities but small in size.

Room was a bit smaller than equivalent room on another APA we stayed during our stay. Breakfast options were also worse than another APA hotel we stayed in.

Bathroom was cramped and had to be careful when stepping in to not bump into metal toilet paper holder. Barely had room to turn around in bathroom space. One side of the bed was right up against the wall so harder for person sleeping on that side of the bed to get out. Very little space to put luggage, it was suggested by hotel to place under the bed but I tend to like my luggage out in open.
Had a quiet room at end of hall with next door to emergency exit so no noise from there, well appointed with amenities. Bed was firm, clean sheets. There was a mini fridge and water kettle. Plenty of outlets for charging electronics. Slippers and robes in the room. Although housekeeping was every third day, fresh towels were supplied daily in bag hanging on our door handle. Microwave and ice dispenser in lobby. Close by to several train/metro lines. Pharmacy and supermarket close by. AC worked well. There was a train line that went directly to Narita Airport.

The room is on the smaller size but that's pretty standard for Tokyo. I would have really appreciated laundry facilities within the building
Clean, great area, very convenient location steps from the subway, I appreciate being able to control all the lights and air conditioning from the bed.
