Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We spent 4 nights at this hotel and it was great. It was located just around the corner from Shinjuku station where we used the Yamanote line to get around most of Tokyo. This area was also filled with shops and restaurants. It was right opposite a food court that does vegan food as well as the usual choices, which was really handy as a vegetarian getting themselves orientated on their first day in Tokyo. The rooms were clean and while a little small (this is expected in Tokyo) it was big enough for what we needed. It was helpful that the hotel had considered spaces for where to put your luggage as well. There was an amenities bar in reception where you could get as much of anything you needed including things like moisturiser, face masks and green tea. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us with filling out shipping forms for our luggage and calling restaurants for reservations. They spoke very good English too. We didn't have dinner here or go to the bar, but the breakfast was good.

The proximity to train station and hence to all parts of Tokyo, Shinjuku area for food and shops and convenience of having the Airport Limousine Bus service at the doorstep. Staff were polite and efficient and cleanliness of room well maintained.

United StatesThe staff spoke limited English, a bit challenging to communicate with them. Lead time to forward luggage to airport is three days, kinda defeats the purpose unless you're staying at the hotel for a week or so. We only stayed for 3 nights, so by the time we arrived, it was too late to forward the luggage. The room was a bit small however we were able to slide our large suitcases under the bed.
Location, very convenient as it was very close to the train station, less than 5 minute walk. Airport limo bus also stops at the hotel. Although we couldn't use it as they limit only 2 pcs of luggage per person (we didn't know until we tried to book). Liked the amenities provided, face masks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, cleansing oil, cotton pads and foaming wash.

We booked an economy double- small and a standard twin- much more roomy. Liked-Location near Shinjuku station Convenient to walk around Shinjuku area Cafe Veloce- across road for basic, cheap breakfast Family Mart across road. It’s quiet in the room considering this is a big hotel. The self service supplies are good, generous.
