Well located basic accommodation. Short walk from railway station, art museum and centre of city. My room had microwave and fridge, so could self cater.

The room was a bit stuffy - it might have been better if I could open the window, but there was scaffolding up for work outside that prevented the window from opening. The stairs were very steep, which was okay for me because I didn't have a suitcase but would have been difficult if I had to carry anything.

The room was in a great location, right near the Folkingestraat and in a central area of Groningen. Nothing that I wanted to see was more than about a 20 minute walk. The room itself was clean, as was the shared toilet.

I was unaware that the shower was really next to the bed. I did not mind this at all - it was great to have my own shower! But if you care about coziness and comfort, this might be a problem.

The hotel is in a great location, not far from the train station. The man at the reception was very kind and welcoming! This was great value for money.

One thing that people might not like is the noise. The hostel is really close to a lively street so it is inevitable that you will hear cars or sometimes people arguing (one instance).

The place was quite clean and well-kept. The staff were pleasant and cleaned the shared bathroom and toilet every day. My room was small but cozy and had all the necessities. It was also close to different kinds of stores if you need something to buy.

Everything looks quite old, from the building to the appliances. Steep stairs, no elevator. The only power socket and light switch in the room are next to the door, far from the bed.

Excellent location in the city centre. Smooth check-in check-out.

Internet was very slow in some rooms. The door locks were difficult to open & some made noise when opening. The entrance door was difficult to open; at one time it hurt my finger, and it bled.

The reception closes early - it's stressful if one's flight and train are delayed. Dont know if it's possible to check in after 6 pm at all?? I was not aware of this when booking it and I made it just in time. The stairs were crazy dangerous! there was no way I could have carried a suitcase up to 2nd floor. It must be the only country in the world where these stairs are considered safe. I saw one woman going down the stairs on her knees...

Really good value for money - good location, friendly receptionist and good facilities. Even though the bath and toilet was shared, it was very clean and the shower was very good with plenty of hot water. I had a single room - it was much bigger than double rooms I have stayed in in Amsterdam. Lots of channels on the TV which was great. There was also a fan, fridge, kettle..and I believe a microwave?? Really good facilities for the room rate.
