Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFew complaints, but there can be a bit of noise from the main road outside. And a peculiarity of Poland (not just this hotel) is that they want to have the whole table settle up on a single tab - it makes it more difficult to buy your own drinks (e.g. because you drink at different speeds or want different drinks) but still sit with your group of friends.
Great location just a few minutes from the main train and bus stations and an easy 5-10 minute walk to the old town. Room was a good size. 6 varieties of beer brewed in house.

United KingdomThought the breakfast was average. Not enough variety of hot options and no facility to toast bread.
The hotel was in excellent location, 10 minutes from main st and right next door to train Station. Very clean, brewery & restaurant superb. Rooms spacious and comfortable, shower excellent.

I been asking 3 times about it however it still not able to fix, not sure if they don’t function it or I am not used to it? And the toilet temperature or corridor temperature is much better than room. It is very hard to sleep else it is wonderful hotel.

United StatesIt was a bit pricey, and the heated towel rack didn't seem to work, but other than that it was great.
Location is great, right next to the train station but an easy walk into the Old Town. The staff was great, particularly Mateas. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms quite fancy, and best of all, each room had its own secure wifi password. I'd stay there again in a minute.

GermanyDue to the location pretty loud. Main thoroughfare in front railway station in the back. Sleeping with open windows nearly impossible. The sophisticated instalation for light, AC in the room might need some improvement (but again: helpful staff found solutions)
Great location, one minute to train, tram, busses. Five minutes to center of Gdańsk (Golden Gate) Modern airy rooms with everything you need. Great, friendly and helpful staff. Good sumptuous breakfast and very tasty beer brewed on location!

United KingdomNothing not to like.
We loved everything about this hotel. The location is perfect for Gdansk Old Town, The European Solidarity Centre and the WWII museum. Easy access from the airport to the hotel - a simple bus ride away. The Craft Brewery in the basement was the icing on the cake. Fabulous beer and food. Every encounter with staff was delightful. We will definitely visit again.

United StatesThe only thing that could be better is an elevator or ramp for entry into the hotel rather than a flight of stairs. It looks like there might be some kind of stair chair lift, but I'm not sure how you can operate the chair lift (not even sure if it is a chair lift). The rest of the hotel is more easily accessible. Priceline really screwed up as they charged us for all the hotels, except this one for some unknown reason. This made for a confusing check-in. Better to book directly with the hotel as the staff is very nice.
This is our second time at this hotel, and the location adjacent to the Gdansk train station is stellar for travelers with luggage. The enormous room with a sofa and chairs was perfect, and the bathroom was the best we had in Poland. Tea and coffee service in the room is nice too. One thing that is odd in Poland is that hotels don't seem to have washcloths (bring your own), and we learned this the first time we were here. The breakfast was greatly improved over our first stay, and is convenient when you don't feel like hunting for breakfast.

FinlandThe hotelroom was pretty hot, despite the air-conditioning and that it was set on 17° the whole stay. The floor in the bathroom was so hot that sweat was running down the back when you went to the bathroom, that was quite unpleasant.
