Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe had a late check in due to flight time and had advised the hotel. When we arrived we did not get the rooms we had booked. The receptionist advised nothing they could do. However after further discussion in the morning we were given upgraded rooms for the remainder of our stay.
Hotel rooms spacious and very clean. Staff pleasant and most were very helpful.

Hong KongWe were given a room on the 2nd level, facing a construction site. This is rather disappointing. During the day time, we could not open the windows to let fresh air in due to the noise work and dusty air. We were not quite satisfied with some staff, especially the girl who checked us in at the Front Desk. She served us twice: 1) Check-in procedure was fast though, it would have been a nice gesture when everything is completed, give your guests a gesture by saying "you are now checked-in, the lifts are over there. You may now tap the card in the lift, and access your room, it's ready for you. Blah blah blah.". My husband and I just stood there for some time, and we have to ask her "is it completed?" Then she replied " oh yes of coz". Well... how would we know when you have completed the necessary procedures? I did not even mention some hospitable gestures like offering a map or so. Maybe, that's too "extra" for her. 2) The other day, we asked the same girl at the front desk on where we could buy stamps for mailing our postcards. She gaver us an unfriendly laugh as if it sounded stupid to raise that question. Certainly, we knew we could get stamps in post offices, but where? Or could we buy it in convenience store or newspaper stand closeby? That's possible in some countries. Well...apparently she just replied by saying "post office" without telling us where, what time it opens, etc. I found she is too new to service industry. And the second question we asked her was requesting the two complimentary bottles of water we were supposed to have in the room after daily clean-ups. We requested coz the housekeeping lady forgot to place them in our room, and teaspoons were not available.... well.. she pointed us to go to the restaurants and got those teaspoons by ourselves without her getting them for us. I would say, it's self-service here, do expect that in this hotel.
The hotel is located in the old town area. It's surrounded by many nice eateries and shop. Train station would be around a 20-minute walk through the old town. Convenience is the key. The property itself is relatively new, equipped with a 24-hour gym and some kids-friendly facilities/amenities on the first floor adjacent to the conference room. The room is furnished with some modern decors relevant to the port city, a lovely touch. I found it quite spacious indeed. We did try the food in the restaurant. Price is reasonable and the F&B staff are polite and professional.

SpainWe were a 4 member family. There was only one chair with little table. The quality of tea/coffee could be better. The issue arises from the small size of the bathroom section, leading to water spreading throughout the space after taking a shower, leaving the toilet area wet.
Location was perfect. We were in a room with nice view of river.
