“This place is very special. Run by some friends who are travelers themselves, they felt that Slovakia needed more affordable accommodation for backpackers, so they decided to offer just that. The accommodation is located on the second floor of a family apartment building near the center of Turcianske Teplice. I was traveling alone and in the low season, yet to my surprise I had the whole apartment (at the time of writing it has 12 beds) to myself. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is small but had everything I needed, and the bathroom and showers were also new and clean. There is also a living room, a balcony and even a mini bar :-) The mountains, stores for grocery shopping and the train station are very close by. The owners tried to help wherever they could and gave great tips, e.g. on hiking routes.”
